Remember when television actually ended for the night?

Here’s a little piece of old television history — the kind of station sign-off many of us remember from years ago. This one features the familiar words from High Flight, ending with “touched the face of God.”

It’s hard to imagine now, with television running around the clock, but there was a time when this meant it was time to turn off the TV and go to bed!
