How about a trip to the Utica Zoo… in the 1950s!

Here’s some great old home movie footage from Tony Taurisano’s collection showing a day at the Utica Zoo more than 70 years ago. The zoo has been part of Utica since 1914, so even when these movies were taken, generations of local families had already been visiting.

The shots may be a little rough, but that’s part of the fun of these old home movies. See anything you remember?
