Remember Chicago Markets? Here’s a 1985 television commercial from the supermarket chain that was once such a familiar name around Utica and Rome.

Chicago Markets served Mohawk Valley shoppers for decades, with its smiling shopping cart mascot and the unforgettable line, “C’mon in and push me around!”

Please excuse the snow and static in this recording. It was taped back in the 1980s from a television antenna that wasn’t getting the greatest reception. We’re glad the commercial survived!

Did your family shop at Chicago Markets? Which location do you remember?
