Born and raised in Sauquoit, New York, Michael O’Donoghue went on to become Saturday Night Live’s first head writer — and the voice of the first words ever heard on the show.
He had a pretty tumultuous career on SNL, leading to being fired a few times and sometimes left out of the history of the show.
